How Can I Change My Address on Google?

There are two ways to change your business address on Google Maps: directly edit your NAP information after a Google search or go to your Google Business profile. Both methods will update your information on Google Maps and your Google Business profile.

1. Change Direct Address from Google Search

The first method is a quick edit directly from the search engine results page (SERP) that displays your business profile:

1. Sign in to an email address linked to your Google Business account.
2. Search for your business name in the Google search bar. Your business NAP information should appear on the right side of the results page or below the search bar.
3. Click “Edit your business information” at the bottom of your profile.
4. Select the “Location” tab to change the address.
5. Enter the new address or delete the old one. If necessary, you can add a line for a suite or unit number. If Google can’t find your address right away, you’ll be prompted to move the red pin on the map to the correct location.
6. Verify that everything is correct and click “Save”.

After saving, Google will ask you to verify your new address.

2. Change the Address from Your Google Business Account

The second method is through your Google Business account, which is especially useful if you manage multiple business profiles:

1. Sign in to your Google Business account. From the left menu, click “Information.”
2. Click the pencil icon next to the map to edit the address.
3. Update your address and, if necessary, move the red pin to the correct position.
4. Click “Apply” and complete the verification process.

Is there a waiting period after updating your address? Yes, you may need to wait up to three days for your address to update on Google Maps and your business profile after you complete verification.
